Two weeks ago we spend the weekend in London. It was my first time ever!  I’ve been living in Europe for almost 6 years and I have never visited. I know, shame on me, don’t ask me why I didn’t, I don’t really have a reason. Anyway, I am super happy I finally went. It was a lovely weekend and the weather was amazing! No rainy London for us.
Notting Hill
Going to Notting Hill was on top of my list and it was definitely my favorite part of the trip. The area is very charming and enjoyable. Strolling around the Portobello Market where you can find many artists playing on the streets, vintage clothing and antiques is an experience in itself and by walking just a bit beyond the market you can find the iconic pastel-colored houses. They are definitely Instagram material.

I generally enjoy staying out of big crowds and Notting Hill is the perfect place to have an easy going day, still finding enough stuff to see and do. If you are planning a trip to London soon, I definitely recommend it.
a day in Notting hill

I am very bad at packing, I seriously want to take everything with me when I travel. I am trying to work on it, and for this trip I was very proud of myself. I packed just enough clothes for the weekend and for work on Monday as we went straight from the airport to work, plus our camera! I had to be very minimal so I opted for this two piece set that was cool enough to handle the heat and perfect to transition from day to night. At the start of the day I wore it with sneakers and for the evening I added the blazer and espadrilles. I love suits and I am super happy that this season the shorts version are very popular.
